Champion stallions Evans Johnny Black and Evans Barbary were sold in 2007 as the farm underwent some unforeseen changes. Having a very specific vision of our future replacements led us on a merry chase from the U.K., to Canada and finally to set our sights on two beautiful prospects from Whispering Ridge Welsh in North Dakota. Both colts are heavily bred representatives of the Cadlan Valley breeding plan. Both share one of my favorites for a damline in the beautiful Cadlan Valley Miss Wales and her dam Cadlan Valley Louisianna. Both would bring different and equally important qualities into our program, but only one can be King and Whispering Marquis has proven himself over and over again under the tutalage of trainer Annie Beamer gaining 4 firsts and 2 Championships in his very first outing. 

Marquis will be standing with Annie in Eastern Washington at Unbridled Oaks for the next few years. He is being offered in 2011 to a limited number of outside mares for the introductory price of $500, AI only. The price includes a $100 booking fee.
